ERIG at Wind meets Gas 2026 – Connecting Ideas for the Energy System of Tomorrow

ERIG was pleased to participate in the 10th edition of Wind meets Gas, held on 8–9 October 2026 at the Martinikerk in Groningen. Under the theme “Back to the Future”, the event brought together experts from industry, policy and research to discuss the future of hydrogen, offshore wind and integrated energy systems in the North Sea region.

At the ERIG booth, we presented our current European projects Hy2Market, HEAVENN, DelHyVEHR, NavHyS, VHYTTHA, ELEVATEcee, MetroHyVe3, SmartGasNet, PermittHy and READY4H2 and their contributions to the development of a sustainable and integrated European energy system. The event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen existing connections and engage with new contacts from across the European energy and hydrogen community.

A particular highlight at our booth was the exhibition model of VHyTTA – Versatile Hydrogen Transfer for Transport Applications. The project is developing next-generation hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for large-scale transport, including aviation, maritime and rail applications. Its work covers flexible solutions for both compressed gaseous hydrogen and liquid hydrogen.

To make the project and its technology more tangible for visitors, our booth featured the VHyTTA exhibition model of Groningen airport. It proved to be a great starting point for conversations and helped us demonstrate the project’s approach in a clear and engaging way.

Beyond presenting our projects, Wind meets Gas 2026 was above all about exchange: meeting familiar faces, making new connections and discussing how innovative technologies and collaboration can help shape the energy system of tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the ERIG booth and shared their ideas with us. We look forward to continuing these conversations!
