GA HER in Dublin: Hans Rasmusson elected Technical Committee Leader at Hydrogen Europe Research
ERIG’s Secretary General, Hans Rasmusson, has been elected to lead the Hydrogen Distribution Technical Committee within Hydrogen Europe Research, strengthening ERIG’s contribution to European cooperation on hydrogen infrastructure, gas grids, and the integration of renewable and low-carbon gases.
As ERIG’s Secretary General, Hans supports European cooperation in gas and energy research, with a particular focus on hydrogen infrastructure, gas grids, and the integration of renewable and low-carbon gases into the energy system.
The election was confirmed during the General Assembly of Hydrogen Europe Research in Dublin, where more than 150 member institutions gathered to discuss current activities, strategic priorities, and the future direction of Europe’s hydrogen research and innovation community.
In this role, Hans will contribute to the work of the Technical Committee Hydrogen Distribution, with a focus on strengthening collaboration across the research community, advancing innovation in hydrogen distribution, and supporting the development of a coordinated European hydrogen infrastructure.
The role aligns closely with ERIG’s long-standing engagement in gas infrastructure, hydrogen transport and distribution, and the integration of renewable and low-carbon gases into Europe’s energy system. ERIG remains committed to supporting a strong, collaborative, and forward-looking European hydrogen research landscape.
