ELEVATEcee Working Conference #2 in Győr brings cross-border hydrogen projects to the next stage

On 3 June 2026, the second ELEVATEcee Working Conference, hosted by GYMSM and Hydroeconomy, took place in Győr, Hungary, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from across Central and Eastern Europe. The event built on the strong foundation established during Working Conference #1 in Vienna and focused on advancing concrete project ideas towards implementation.

As part of the ELEVATEcee three-step working conference series, the Győr meeting aimed to strengthen existing project consortia, integrate missing competences, and further structure project concepts

Designed as a hands-on, interactive platform, the conference moved beyond traditional presentations. Participants engaged actively in workshops, pitching sessions, and structured exchanges to refine project ideas and identify new opportunities for cooperation across the Austria–Hungary–Slovakia region.

The programme included:
  • presentations on project progress and the latest developments in the green hydrogen economy,
  • pitching sessions for new project ideas,
  • dedicated workshops focusing on project development, skills building, and policy, technology, and financing aspects,
  • and networking opportunities to foster collaboration and partnership building.
Key highlight

A key highlight of the conference was the strong focus on collaboration: project owners, industry representatives, research organisations, and public stakeholders worked together to further develop cross-border initiatives and build robust project partnerships.

The interactive format once again demonstrated the added value of the ELEVATEcee approach, combining idea development, capacity building, and matchmaking in one integrated process.

The ELEVATEcee Working Conferences will continue with a third edition planned in December 2026, focusing on more mature projects and preparing them for financing and implementation.
