Metrology for Hydrogen Vehicles 3 – MetroHyVe3 – is a project in the European Partnership on Metrology dedicated to advancing measurement standards for hydrogen refuelling stations. By developing new methods for accurate hydrogen flow measurement and purity verification, the project supports safer, more reliable, and efficient hydrogen infrastructure—helping drive the transition to clean transport across Europe. While it also covers light-duty hydrogen refuelling stations, much of the technical development and innovation—such as new calibration methods, integrated verification units, and sensor validation—are designed to meet the demanding requirements of heavy-duty applications such as trucks, buses, ships, trains, and planes.
